It is a Dutch-style treat that acts like an Energy Gel but tastes more like breakfast.

When do I eat an Energy Stroopwafel?
Eat one before a workout or race, or just bring one along for along for the ride for an energy source to power your workout.

How is an Energy Stroopwafel different from other GU Energy products?
The energy component is from carbohydrates, BCAAs and electrolytes. This is an ideal product for someone looking to add something to their breakfast or pre-workout snack/meal, and for the person that is new to the Gel world. The GU Energy Stroopwafel includes organic eggs to help hold the Stroopwafel together AND adds a bit of protein, which the Gels and Chews do not have.

Is an Energy Stroopwafel gluten free, vegan friendly and kosher?
The Wild Berries and Salted Chocolate flavours are GLUTEN FREE. We use a gluten free flour blend that included organic rice flour, organic tapioca flour, and organic potato starch for these stroopwafels. The Caramel Coffee and Salty’s Caramel flavours do contain gluten. All Stroopwafel flavours are certified kosher. All flavours are, however, made with organic eggs, so they are not vegan-friendly.

How do you eat the Energy Stroopwafel?
Rip open the single serving packet and take a bite! It’s good before you run or ride, during long duration activities, and even to fuel up after you finish. We like to enjoy Stroopwafels with a hot cup of coffee, and if you let the steam warm the waffle, it tastes even better!

Does a Stroopwafel contain caffeine and how does it help me?
The Stroopwafel comes in both caffeinated and non-caffeinated flavours. Salted Chocolate, Salty’s Caramel and Wild Berries are CAFFEINE FREE. Caramel Coffee contains 20mg of caffeine. Caffeine consumption during exercise improves performance in several ways: it sharpens focus and perks you up; but more importantly, it helps the body produce more power, reduce the pain of hard efforts, and may even tap fat for fuel during exercise. All of this prolongs your ability to exercise at a high intensity. We use just enough caffeine to jump start this benefit and no more.

Is the Stroopwafel safe for children?
Yes, definitely! It’s good for anyone who needs energy when playing, on a hike, or just being active. You probably want to keep them away from the flavours that contain caffeine; no need to make them more hyperactive.

Ingredients / Nutritional information

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0562/9021/3947/files/Packet_Energy_Waffle_Maple_Cinnamon.webp?v=1771669002
